Athletic Benefits: The
single leg slide board leg curl is a great exercise to help strengthen the
hamstrings and glutes. Much like the GHR the slide board leg curl takes
advantage of utilizing both hip extension and knee flexion to ensure all
function of the hamstring are being worked at the same time. This is a
great exercise to build sport specific strength for sprinting and all
other single leg activities. This is a really important exercise to help
reduce the number of hamstring pulls on the field as well.
