Wes Blauberg won the most outstanding wrestler and teammate Tom Katsigiorgis had the most pins in the least amount of time (3, 1:55) to lead host Massapequa to a first-place finish (387 points). Massapequa qualified 21 wrestlers for the county tournament next weekend.

At Farmingdale, most outstanding wrestler Anthony Riccardi earned three pins and a technical fall at 119 pounds to lead Bethpage (307.5 points) to a first-place finish. Chris Vlasopoulos won his 100th career match in the quarterfinals with a pin in 1:17. Bethpage qualified 14 wrestlers for the county tournament and MacArthur added 10. Eighth-grader Chris Bennett of Division won at 103.

At South Side, Eddie Gomez of Freeport scored a two-point reversal in the final 15 seconds of his 145-pound match against John Hanly of Seaford to win the bout, 8-7. Noel Thompson of Freeport was named most outstanding wrestler with three pins in 5:16 at 152 pounds. Freeport won with 324 points.
