NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Nassau Community College qualified 10 wrestlers for the NJCAA National Championship which will be held in Spokane, Washington on February 26 and 27th. The qualifying tournament was held at Thaddeus Stevens College in Lancaster, PA. This was the ninth consecutive Mid Atlantic Championship for the Nassau wrestling team. Nassau had nine wrestlers in the finals, with five of them winning Championships. The lions are currently ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA poll, with seven wrestlers ranked.

The following wrestlers will represent Nassau Community College at the NJCAA National Championships.

125lbs Mike Garofalo- 4x Virginia State Champion, HS National Champion, 2011 Mid Atlantic Champion

133lbs John Miller- 2011 Mid Atlantic- runner-up

141lbs Kodie Silvestri- 3^rd NJCAA National, 2^nd NYS Collegiate Championships, 2011 Mid Atlantic Champion & OW

149lbs  Mac Maldarelli- 2011 Mid Atlantic –runner-up, 3^rd NYS Collegiate Championships

157lbs- Brian Herold- 2nd NYS High School, 3rd in Mid Atlantic Championships

165lbs Lance Wade- 2x NYS Finalist, NJCAA All American, 2011 Mid Atlantic runner-up

174lbs Jules Doliscar- NJCAA All American, 2011 Mid Atlantic Champion

184lbs Anthony Lupi- 2011 Mid Atlantic runner-up

197lbs Musa DeResse- 2011 Mid Atlantic Champion, 3^rd NYS Collegiate Championships

285lbs David Agu- 2011 Mid Atlantic Champion
