*1981 Suffolk County High School wrestling championships. Bay Shore is accepting the
trophy from Mrs. Mary Knapp, the widow of Bill Knapp for whom the trophy is named.

Bay Shore crowned nine champions and had 16 place winners en route to winning
the George K. Doherty Memorial Tournament at Berner High School in Massapequa
on January 10, 1981. The Marauders scored 305 points to win the tournament by
93.5 points over Berner. Pictured here are 11 of Bay Shore's finalists.
