Long Island Wrestling Association to Assist Monetarily With High School Wrestling Campers

In it's inaugural year of operation the not-for-profit Long Island Wrestling Association, Inc.has chosen to send 40 high school age wrestlers from Nassau and Suffolk County to wrestling camp this summer.  This camp assistance which will be split between both counties will be need based.  Applications have been distributed to high school coaches in both counties enabling those coaches to nominate deserving individuals from their teams.  The LIWA camp assistance committee will evaluate those applications and award the selected individuals at their county high school awards banquet.

The camps that will be available are not only those associated with Long Island but some out of state camps as well.  One of the camps chosen that recipients will attend is Tom Ryan's Elite Wrestling Camp.  Camp directors have been contacted and some are already on board to help with us with this effort.  Camp directors that have chosen to be a part of this effort will be listed here and we hope you will reward them by including them in your camp selection process for the summer.  If your high school coach hasn't heard of this program have him email our office at liwainc@aol.com and request more information.
